Leo Kusters studied Agricultural Engineering at Wageningen University and worked at DAF Trucks. Since 1994 he works at TNO and has been primarily active in the automotive domain both in research and management roles. He is 20 years active in the domain of automatic driving and initiator of many of TNO’s efforts in this domain. An example of this is the development and realization of the VEHIL-laboratory (Vehicle Hardware in the Loop)). Over the last years his responsibilities extended to Urbanisation which includes apart of Mobilty the domains of Infrastructure, Environment and Smart Cities. Leo is also board member of AutomotiveNL, TKI (Top Knowlegde Institute) Logistics, member of the Programme Committee of DITCM (Dutch Integrated Test center Cooperate Mobility) and several high level Dutch government advice councels in the domain of Mobility.
