Profile
Dr. Jun Shibata has more than 40-year experiences within the ITS arena. His experiences include cooperative ITS, car navigation systems, and area traffic signal control systems.
He worked with Sumitomo Electric Industries and Toyota Mapmaster. Currently, he is partly working with Japan Digital Road Map Association.
Dr. Jun Shibata has been assigned to serve as the Convenor of ISO TC204 WG3 (ITS Database Technology) since 2007.
His recent interest includes dynamic maps and digital infrastructure that will support cooperative ITS and automated driving systems.
