Mako Matsumoto is a navigation industry veteran. Mako has twenty years of experience pioneering and implementing turn by turn navigation systems that launched this industry worldwide.
Mako was a key contributor in the first navigation system, using Navtech software, launched in the U.S. and Europe.
Mako now focuses on next generation technologies in the automotive industry including Highly Automated Driving (HAD) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Mako provides thought leadership and leads these efforts for HERE, a division of Nokia, as head of their Global Strategic Program Management Group.
With more than 40 partnerships to date, Mako directs an innovative team that drives next generation technologies that are poised to uniquely advance automated driving systems.
